This is a custom-made version of the PG5-AD, a very famous drafting mechanical pencil, with a wooden body. The pen tip has been shaped with a constriction to fit the fingers comfortably. It allows for writing with light pressure and prevents fatigue even after long hours of use. The wood type is Yanaese cedar. The oil figure has a unique, bright grain, and you can enjoy the beautiful patterns created by the deep, dark brown color and the luster of the wood. Yanaese cedar from Kochi, one of Japan's three major natural cedars. The finish is incredibly beautiful. The PG5 has been a masterpiece drafting mechanical pencil for over 50 years since its release. It continues to be loved by many people. The original is thin and light (approx. 10g), and its very light writing feel is loved, preventing fatigue even during long writing sessions. Takamura Moku Koubou's wooden body custom of the PG5 maximizes the original's good qualities. The design maintains the slim form, and the wooden body is created with minimal metal, using the original parts as they are, keeping the weight down to 12-14g. By slightly shifting the center of gravity downwards and creating a slight indentation in the area where the fingers rest, it fits the fingers and reproduces a light writing feel without requiring much force. Penetrating inorganic glass paint is used for the wooden body. After drying, the wood and the glass of the paint adhere, creating strong hardness. It has high waterproof and stain-resistant effects, and can be used for a long period with no maintenance.
