I am a French antique restorer. I bought this in France, intending to restore it myself, but I don't have time, so I've decided to sell it. I've applied a natural varnish to the wood to protect it from insects and mold, but the wood's curvature hasn't been adjusted yet, and I haven't applied the finishing varnish. The glue is hide glue, so it will come apart with steam. I will provide the original hardware, but the lock key is missing, and I believe the lock mechanism is broken. I had a leather craftsman make a new handle.
