When not in use, the chimney opening can be covered with the included metal plate. (Please refer to photos 10-12 for an idea of how the previous owner used it.) A zip-lock bag for storing the cover when not in use is included. I purchased this tent used on Mercari about a year ago and used it for one night of camping. It was used in the rain, but after returning home, I brushed it and completely dried it in the sun. I really like the unique setup, the easy-to-use space and height, and the comfortable TC material, but... As a solo camper who primarily uses a motorcycle, the size when packed and the added weight due to the chimney hole exceeded my tolerance. I've made the difficult decision to let it go. If you're a solo or duo camper who uses a car, or if you plan to install a stove in the winter, please consider this tent. As this is an outdoor item, there are no noticeable tears or damage that would impair its function. However, please understand that there may be minor scratches and dirt from use.
