Well-worn, green sea glass washed up on the beach in Nagasaki. These are in their natural state, polished by the waves, and have not been processed, colored, or polished. Sea glass is a fragment of glass that has been smoothed by the ocean waves over many years, and is also known as "mermaid's tears" for its beauty. It is said to represent "miracles, encounters, bonds, and vitality," and "meeting the person you were truly meant to meet." After washing, they are dried in the sun. The size is shown in the photos using a ruler for comparison, so please use that as a reference. Sea glass is beautiful when dry, polished by the waves, but it becomes even more beautiful when wet, sparkling and transparent.
