It adopts specifications that can be called orthodox, similar to Denis Wick, and it is evident that brass bands are fully considered. However, Yamaha has put more effort into this series than in recent years, incorporating a standard design, pursuing an optimal weight balance with a dedicated blank, and featuring an original design with a slightly flat rim. Furthermore, as its most significant feature, it has undergone "Neo™ Specialized Heat Treatment," which adjusts the metal composition for each part of the mouthpiece, providing a significant change in tone and playing feel compared to previous mouthpieces. While not an adjustment or stress relief process, the modification of the metal composition itself is a process that only a few workshops, such as BrassLab.MOMO and Monette, perform. However, it is unprecedented to perform this process at this price and scale, attracting considerable attention. After purchasing new, I have test-played it twice. The tone feels similar to the Tuba-Saders model mouthpiece. It seems I personally don't prefer heat-treated mouthpieces. I would like someone who it suits to play it.
