This is a basket, likely from the Taisho era, purchased from an antique shop. It's a very atmospheric and lovely basket, but the leather connecting parts are damaged, so it cannot be carried. Would you like to repair it yourself and use it, or use it as lidded storage, or for interior decoration or display? As it is an old item, there may be dirt and blackening, and the rattan may flake off when touched. There are also parts where the rattan is missing.
