BCA's new Dozer shovels feature an oval concave shaft and a low-profile "stomp" blade. The front third of the shovel blade provides a smooth surface for cleaning snow pit walls during snow stability tests. BCA's flat "stomp edge" is on the blade, allowing you to penetrate anything by applying weight. The automatic engagement spring pin on the blade/shaft connection allows for quick, hands-free assembly/deployment. BCA shovels lay flat in your pack without protruding ferrules or "necks," leaving space for other backcountry gear.
