Kena Wind Workshop. This is an F-pipe kena made from the popular southern Kyushu-grown Houraichiku bamboo. Total length: 419 mm, outer diameter near the mouthpiece: 28.3 mm, inner diameter: 20.5 mm, finger hole diameter (max): approx. 11.5 mm. Mouthpiece width: 10 mm, depth: 7.6 mm. The pitch is around A=442-443 at a room temperature of 27 degrees Celsius in my workshop, using my blowing technique, but it varies greatly depending on how you use your breath. Please understand that there will naturally be individual differences. There may be scratches, stains inside the pipe, and slight warping that cannot be completely corrected, which are characteristic of natural materials. This is a superb piece that resonates comfortably from the low notes with rich overtones to the third octave.
