This is a nearly new, unused Sony MD component system "DHC-MD555" from approximately 27 years ago, which is extremely difficult to obtain in new condition. It is an item being cleared out by a family member. It is assumed that they purchased it but were unable to secure space to set it up, and it ended up being part of the items to be cleared out. For reference, an LD player, which was not in its box and appeared to have been used to some extent, had some slight rust on the rear corners, but the front was very clean, and it was able to play three LDs without any problems, including playback, auto-reverse mechanism, and even the more critical video quality (playback image quality). This item was kept in its box and stored in the same closet. I believe there is a rarity value in the fact that it is unused, so I have not tested its operation. Of course, it is not fresh from the factory inspection, so I cannot deny the possibility of problems due to aging. For those who wish to purchase, to avoid the risk of it not working, I would like to deliver it directly, be present while the buyer tests its operation, and if there are no problems, the buyer can complete the purchase (press the Mercari item receipt button).
