It's a standard size, and considering the frequent switching with trumpets, it's well-designed, especially compared to many mouthpieces that are too deep and tend to blur the sound. The rim size didn't fit me, but the playing experience offered moderate resistance while still feeling open, making it easy to produce the characteristic flugelhorn sound.
