Adorned with deep purple and gold decorations and paintings, it is a beautiful tea set depicting the traditional Japanese scenery of a five-story pagoda, pine trees, and buildings. Top Diameter: Approximately 11 cm Height: Approximately 8.5 cm There is some slight chipping on the gold paint, but overall, I think it is beautiful. ❷ Yamanaka Lacquerware, Lacquered Tea Trays (2) Made by applying lacquer to a wooden base. The spiral wood grain and lines are called "sujibiki" (groove drawing), and are created using a traditional technique used in Yamanaka lacquerware.
