This is a black lacquer peony carved flat tea caddy made by Kousetsu Yamashita. It is a magnificent work with delicate carvings. There is a kao (signature) of the 13th generation of the Omotesenke school, Sokuchusai, on the inside of the lid. There is a needle mark on the bottom. Size: Diameter 7.8cm / Height 6cm (Please allow for some error) Condition: There are no visible flaws, cracks, or repairs. Please consider that this is an antique item, and there may be some age-related wear and small scratches.
