I took it on two shore GT fishing trips with big baits. There are some scratches on the grip from carrying it. (See image 6) I haven't hooked any fish with it. For reference, here's my personal impression: ↓↓↓ While many shore rods are over 10ft, this one is 8.3ft, so casting requires some technique. Once you get used to it, it casts normally. Merits: Because it's short, I didn't feel much fatigue during long actions. It's a very stiff rod, so you can comfortably cast heavy lures approaching 200g. Also, because it's a short rod, I could cast without worrying too much even if I didn't have enough space behind me. Although it's not the current trend, it's very easy to use with large-mouthed poppers. Demerits: The biggest drawback is that retrieving lures near the rocks is quite difficult when the footing is high. I don't recommend it for those who don't want their lures to get scratched. I think it's a rod that will appeal to a specific type of user. It's a powerful, unique rod, and I personally liked it. I haven't used jigs, so I don't know about that.
