I often use small vibes for the spring "haku" (young mullet) pattern, but they can also coexist with larger baitfish. Surprisingly large "inako" (juvenile sea bass) and "konoshiro" (gizzard shad) can be found even in spring and summer. I went fishing in an estuary in February, and there were so many 17cm inako that they were even getting snagged on my lure. I often use large vibes for the konoshiro pattern, and I think this 9cm size with its high body profile can be used all year round. I'm not very familiar with bass lures, so I looked it up myself, and I think it's probably the Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap, 3.5 inches, 3/4 ounce (approximately 8.9cm, approximately 21g).
