In my case, I refer to bamboo with a maximum node diameter of approximately 35mm or more as "super extra thick." This size is the least common in the bamboo grove where I harvest Hotei bamboo. The bamboo is first harvested with shallow buds, then the surrounding protrusions are lightly sanded with a file, and carefully washed with water using a brush. Thank you.
