I bought it used, so I don't know the details, but the blank and guides are original, and thread has been wrapped from the reel seat area to the butt section (probably just for cosmetic purposes). There are no issues with its use. I've actually used it for the "okizao" (rod-resting) style and it worked well for small Ishidai and Ishigakidai (yellow-banded rockfish). It's not in the best condition. Please understand that this is a used item.
