This is a masterpiece standard model from the 1970s, when YAMAHA had a technical partnership with Schilke Music Products, a high-end trumpet manufacturer in the United States. Due to its excellent performance, the YTR-236 was also used by established American manufacturers such as Holton and CONN to customize their own brand trumpets, which were then OEM-produced by YAMAHA. The YTR-236 is a wonderful model with a Schilke design, but because it was also intended to be affordable for students, it had some specifications that were insufficient for modern brass bands and big band ensembles. This instrument has been upgraded at our workshop with the essential modifications for a modern trumpet. It now has the specifications to be used without hesitation in modern band ensembles. Our workshop has carried out rebuild customizations to achieve the original sound of the Schilke type, realizing the light and easy blowing feel of a Schilke. Currently, the YTR-8310Z is the only Schilke-type instrument from YAMAHA, which is a shame. Atelier customization is a rare opportunity to obtain a YAMAHA Schilke-type instrument at a reasonable price. The performance is different from resale items on flea market sites and auctions that have only been cleaned and oiled. ★Customization Points ◉ By rebuilding the tuning slide to a reverse design, a Schilke style is achieved. We have also paid attention to the processing accuracy, ensuring compatibility with the tuning slides of professional models, which are higher-end models. ◉ The 1st slide has been rebuilt to a reverse design, and a saddle-type thumb hook has been installed. This is an essential function in modern ensembles. Pedal "F" can also be produced by operating the 1st and 3rd slides. ◉ The adjustable finger ring on the 3rd slide has been replaced with a fixed type, eliminating play and unnecessary resonance. ★Condition No noticeable dents, slides, and piston valves have been adjusted. There are no missing parts, and it functions properly.
