The pattern on the front is reminiscent of a kyogen hakama (traditional Japanese trousers worn in Kyogen theater). It seems to be named "Kyogen Hakama" because it resembles the pattern of the hakama worn by Kyogen performers. Originally a type of Goryeo tea bowl in the Unkaku-de style, you may also see imitations of celadon-like cylindrical tea bowls with similar markings. This one has a rounded bottom and a square mouth, with tube ears on both sides. It is covered with a gray and white glaze, and brushstroke patterns can be seen on the inside.
