This is the Criterion version from the US, known for its high picture quality. The directors and staff are the old Daiei team, including Kenji Misumi, resulting in high-quality works. This Lone Wolf and Cub has a different flavor from Kinnosuke Yorozuya's TV version. It's an import, but it can be played without any problems on domestic playback devices.
