We are particular about using domestic, additive-free feed, and we mix and ferment rice, wheat, rice bran, soybeans, oyster shells, fish meal, etc., ourselves. Especially, fish meal is an important nutrient that affects the taste of the eggs, so we use fresh, additive-free, made-to-order bonito fish meal sourced from Kyushu. While it is common to use fish scraps from farmed fish, we use only bonito, which is a high-quality product. It eliminates the fishy smell and makes the eggs delicious. In addition to these feeds, we give them a lot of vegetables and green feed, which are natural green grasses, that we grow ourselves. Green feed contains a lot of natural vitamins and fiber, which has the effect of keeping the body slightly alkaline, making the chickens less prone to disease and growing strong. My chickens do not have their beaks trimmed ※Note, so they can peck at hard things like potatoes and pumpkins, which are given during the winter when green feed is scarce.
