This is a single unit born from an old man (the shop owner) who has experienced, loved, and owned successive Tube Screamers (= Maxon ODs) in real-time, aiming to reproduce the original tone and further improve it. While reproducing the vintage sound, this unit enhances the separation of each string, achieving a tone that doesn't get muddy even when distorted, and possesses a good presence without sounding flat, while also having depth, allure, and richness. This high balance of seemingly contradictory factors is achieved through modification. The buffer section's constants have been changed to those of the TS808. For the operational amplifier, which can be called the heart of the unit, a dead stock JRC4558D from the 1980s is used, and 1S1588 diodes, also from the 1980s, are employed. Other key components also use the same manufacturers and the same era's parts as the originals. The chemical capacitors in the power supply and other areas use the same ones as the TS808 modified units. It may be more accurate to say that this goes beyond the realm of modification and is a "rebuild." The excellent string separation, which never becomes muddy, is outstanding.
