The surface of the lid depicts the moon (pale, slightly smoky gold), with golden geese flying against it. The body features pampas grass maki-e, similar to the design on the lid. This part is drawn with very fine black lines, making it barely visible when holding the nakatsugi. Geese against the moon, pampas grass (maki-e) illuminated by the moonlight, and pampas grass hidden from the moonlight. A tasteful nakatsugi. Perfect for the coming season.
