This is a set of 5 hibiscus-patterned Ryukyu lacquerware individual plates. They are small dessert plates, perfect for serving Japanese sweets individually. They appear unused, but one plate has a missing character on the back. (See photo 6, the character for "球" [ball/sphere] in "Ryukyu lacquerware" is missing.) Otherwise, there are some minor scuffs from storage, but no noticeable damage.
