1970s Japanese vintage by Tokai. Made in 1979, the first year of the Silver Star. This is a model that John Mayer loves, featuring a large headstock and a rosewood fretboard, following the Fender style of the 70s. It's very well-made, as you'd expect from a Japanese-made guitar. I have no doubt that its value will continue to increase. The electronics are all original, including the gray bobbin pickups. The pots also have only minor scratchiness. This is a guitar from a period known for its very thin paint finish. The frets are thin, as was typical at the time, but overall, there's hardly any sign of use, and I think it's in excellent condition. It's rare to find one in this kind of condition. The tremolo arm and an aftermarket hard case shown in the images are included. The original five tremolo springs are installed. It has been maintained prior to listing, so you can use it immediately upon arrival.
