Brand new, unused. This is a three-tiered jubako (lacquered food box) in the typical square design of Hida Shunkei lacquerware. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, not only for osechi (New Year's dishes), but also for cherry blossom viewing, sports days, picnics, and as a sweets box.
