Regarding the Velcro straps, the top tube side was too long, so I have cut it shorter (approximately 17cm for both front and rear). The steerer tube side is as it was when purchased (approximately 22cm). There is no noticeable damage. There is some slight dirt on the exterior, and some pilling on the inside, indicating use.
