This is the RS-M22G cassette deck, released by Technics around 1979 for 49,800 yen. It features an accurate and responsive digital FL display for the output meter, an electronically controlled DC motor for drive, and an SX sendust head for recording and playback, achieving good frequency characteristics. It is equipped with a 4-position selector that can also use metal tapes and a Dolby NR circuit, as well as rewind auto-play, auto-stop, and timer standby functions. *Although recording and playback are possible, there is a slight malfunction during playback (see sound output below). The exterior is clean, so please consider this a [junk item] for repair or parts. ●Accessories: Normal cassette tape (unused) x 1 Reference materials on how to connect, record, and play cassette decks, and how to handle cassette tapes and the unit's head. ●Appearance: The interior and exterior of the chassis have been cleaned, and maintenance has been performed on moving parts, contacts, heads, etc. There are no noticeable scratches or stains, and the appearance is clean. ●Sound Output: When connected to a pre-main amplifier, the playback sound of a cassette tape (newly used) recorded with this unit and another unit (st) is delayed by 1-2 seconds after pressing the play button, but the sound quality is good. ●Operation: The liquid crystal display, tape counter, and reset operation at power-on are good. The pause, rec, play, rew, ff, and stop operations are good, and the tape running is stable. The red lamp lights up during recording, and the input level adjustment with the knob and the liquid crystal display of the left and right channels are also good (Photos 1-2). The sound quality changes when switching Dolby NR and tape selector have been confirmed by hearing.
