This is one of the hanging scroll collections that my grandfather cherished. It is a single scroll with the powerful words "Kōen Seisō" (恒遠醒窓) written on it. The inscription on the box reads "Died in the second year of Bunkyū (1862), aged 59," indicating that it is a highly valuable work likely painted in the late Edo period. Both the box and the hanging scroll itself have seals and signatures. Recommended for those interested in calligraphy, antiques, and old art, or for decorating tea rooms and Japanese-style rooms.
