October 29th Update: I tried using it to reconfirm as it is an old item. There was a large noise immediately after connecting. It's unclear whether this was because it hadn't been used for a while or if the cable was the cause. After reconnecting and moving away from the amplifier, it worked normally. I used it for about an hour and it worked fine. I'm noting this for your information as it's not an inexpensive purchase.
