Genuine French Army First Aid Case
Purchased at a military surplus store a few years ago.
This small aluminum case was used during the Indochina War (December 19, 1946 – August 1, 1954) and is said to have contained packaged medicine.
It's over half a century old.
This is a first aid kit for gas masks used by the French Army during World War I. The kit contains instructions for treating skin contamination caused by chemical weapons such as mustard gas. Inside the kit are powder to apply to the skin and cotton swabs for applying it. This kit seems to have been essential for protecting soldiers from the threat of chemical weapons.
I use it for camping, storing things like coffee beans.
It's also recommended for storing candy, medicine, or as interior decoration.
It's small but made of aluminum, so it's sturdy.
