It has been stored in a closet since purchase without being opened.
The 3rd Rakusai Takahashi was born in Shiga Prefecture as the eldest son of the 2nd Rakusai Takahashi.
His real name is Mitsunosuke.
In 1915 (Taisho 4), he studied at the Kyoto Ceramic Research Institute.
From 1916 (Taisho 5), he engaged in pottery in Shigaraki.
In 1917 (Taisho 6), he succeeded to the name of the 3rd Rakusai Takahashi.
In 1941 (Showa 16), he was certified as a Shigaraki ware technical preservationist by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
In 1960 (Showa 35), he won the Grand Prix at the Brussels World Exposition.
He was selected and exhibited in the Denmark Japan Ceramic Ten Masters Exhibition.
In 1964 (Showa 39), he was designated as an intangible cultural property of Shiga Prefecture.
In 1971 (Showa 46), he received an award for the most outstanding skilled worker from the Minister of Labor.
In 1973 (Showa 48), he received a letter of appreciation from the mayor in Los Angeles, USA.
