This is a plastic model kit of the Ferrari 641/2, a popular model that symbolizes the enthusiastic F1 boom in Japan in the early 90s, with Alain Prost, who joined Ferrari with the car number 1 as a souvenir, competing for the championship. The Ferrari team also celebrated its 100th victory at Prost's home French GP. This is the first edition from the new release in April 1991, so the markings include solid red Marlboro instead of fluorescent red, and the body cowl vinyl has no tag and no insole. It is a 1/12 big scale series from Tamiya's flagship brand, with suspension arms made of die-cast metal and movable, front wings and cowls removable, and a full kit that also reproduces the Tipo 037 V12 engine, gearbox, radiator, etc. The monocoque and engine block are one-piece molded using a slide mold, and leather for the seat and headrest are also included. Although there is no noticeable deterioration in the decals, they are old markings, so it is unknown if they can be used as is. They have been stored separately and replaced in a zippered vinyl bag. It is difficult to obtain this item now, so how about it for those who were enthusiastic about the F1 boom at the time? The package has no noticeable dents, but there are scratches, yellowing, stains, and other damage. It will be wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a cardboard box for shipping.
