Worn for my daughter's graduation ceremony. She didn't want to wear the same thing as everyone else, so she wore a komon (casual kimono) that I had worn a few times in the past, tailored for hakama (pleated skirt). It has a mature, modern look, but the pattern is unique. It gives a very mature and chic impression. Although not included, the atmosphere changes when you add a kasane-eri (layered collar) and han-eri (collar lining). I cut and sewed my old komon for my daughter, hemming it (so there's no need to create an ohashori - the folded part at the waist). There are a few keyhole-shaped holes from storage (neither my child nor I were concerned about the size, so we wore it as is. Please check the photos 2 and 3). I'll include the nagajuban (long under-kimono) as a bonus, as it was treated in the same way. Since it's a komon, the sleeve length is short. It's roughly sewn as I am not a professional, but it won't be visible when wearing hakama. My daughter, who is about 149cm tall, wore it and the length was just right.
