Karaori is a technique used in the world of kimono for luxurious fukuro obi and maru obi. Generally, it is a high-quality woven fabric made on a loom using a floating weave technique that uses colorful threads, including gold and silver threads, on a twill weave base to weave patterns such as flowers and patterns like embroidery. Nishijin, Kyoto, is the main production area. ★ The base color is a bluish gray, and I think the first image is the closest representation. ★ The obi is of almost standard stiffness, and I think it is an easy-to-handle obi even for beginners. ★ There are no damages that would cause problems when wearing it, but I am offering it as a used item and selling it at a low price, so please understand.
