This is green rice straw. It was grown in a mountainous area of Ibaraki Prefecture, where water is drawn from the headwaters of a river. This is rice straw from glutinous rice grown without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or animal manure during the cultivation period. It is not a green harvest, so it is not as green as commercially available straw, but it still retains some greenness. We will include over 1 kilogram of binder-cut straw. The length is 100cm or more. We inspect the straw and remove weeds as much as possible, but as it is a natural product, there may be some short pieces, pieces with mud on the roots, and weeds mixed in.
