Thomas is from the Wooden Railway series. Emily is not from the Plarail series; she is made of plastic. These were played with when the children were small and have been stored at home for a long time. Because the two are different types, they cannot be connected and played with. Also, Thomas, in particular, has noticeable paint peeling. The magnet part is also dirty. I have confirmed that it has magnetism, but I don't have any other items of the same type, so I don't know if they can be connected.
