Despite its design with four bass reflex ports, which might give the impression of prioritizing extreme low-end and sound pressure, this cabinet delivers exceptional low-mid, mid, high, and presence frequencies, resulting in a well-balanced sound. It produces a surprisingly powerful bass for a 2x12 cabinet. This is not a neglected item often found in private sales, but a properly maintained one. Both speakers have been replaced with Celestion G12K-100s (100W input each), offering a wide range and high output. (The default speakers were too muffled for my taste.) The G12K-100 is often used in high-output models of Orange and Diesel cabinets, and is a leading speaker in the loud music scene, along with the Vintage 30. The condition is excellent. I re-recorded the sound to confirm, and both speakers sound fantastic. The low-mids are thick, the mids have a good sustain, and the highs are clear without being harsh. Objectively, you can feel the "definition" and "solidity," while playing it, you'll experience both "sustain" and a "gritty" feel. This is the perfect speaker for those who find the high frequencies of the Vintage 30 to be too harsh. I've marked the recommended microphone placement points with masking tape, which can be removed if not needed. (There is no sticky residue on the metal grill, so please don't worry.) It has been a great performer for live shows and recordings, but I'm selling it because I'm using it less and my equipment room is getting cramped. - It has been stored in a climate-controlled equipment room with air conditioning and heating throughout the year, so there is no mold, odor, or insect damage.
