I found this while cleaning out my parents' house. A part of the bottom is intentionally chipped, giving it an interesting look. Glaze has been applied to the chipped area as well. I think it would be fun to use as everyday tableware for things like café au lait, soup, or ochazuke (rice with tea). There is no box or instruction manual.
