The lining is fleece, and there is some pilling and fuzzing from wear, but overall, there are no noticeable scratches or stains! The lining of the sleeves is not fleece but smooth, making it easy to put on and take off! My older child wore it oversized when they were 2.5 years old, but it was a perfect fit for a slender 4.5-year-old, although the sleeves were a bit short, so I think it's made on the larger side!
