This is a tooth from a great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias), with the longest part measuring 37.8mm. This is a valuable tooth, with only one on each side of the upper jaw. It's an intermediate tooth (mediate tooth) located between the front and side teeth, or a tooth located just below the eye, hence the common names "eyetooth" (though the literal translation is "eye tooth") or "tooth of love." Furthermore, scientifically, its presence is a crucial factor in determining the classification of great white sharks within the Lamnidae family. It's not very clear in the image, but this tooth has the most beautiful enameloid of all the teeth. The enameloid of the crown is white and completely clean. Both cutting edges have beautiful serrations and are without any chips. The root is also white, harmonizing beautifully with the whiteness of the crown. ...However, due to the nature of a pre-tooth, the base of the root appears slightly worn. This indicates that the osseous tissue was not yet fully developed. Therefore, it has been graded as (A’’ class).
