This is a furoshiki (wrapping cloth) featuring a design by the dyeing artist Keisuke Serizawa. Keisuke Serizawa developed the katazome (stencil dyeing) technique and perfected his unique katae-zome (stencil-printed dyeing). He was designated as a Living National Treasure in 1956 and was selected as a Person of Cultural Merit in 1976. In the same year, the Serizawa Exhibition was held at the Grand Palais in Paris. His diverse and beautiful world was praised as "a rare artistic height," and he is now renowned as SERIZAWA of the world, on par with Matisse. 【Size】 Approximately 90cm x 90cm 【Material】 100% cotton, made in Japan 【Condition】 Unopened when purchased, stored at home.
