I modified a Pelham Blue Epiphone Les Paul Custom, the Jared James Nicols model, after purchasing it new. The neck grip is a thick type, similar to a Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard or slightly closer to a 1958 Standard. Currently, if you want to buy a Les Paul with a neck this thick, your only options are almost exclusively Gibson Custom Shop or authentic vintage models. However, the Epiphone Jared James Nicols model is the only one that offers a guitar with a solid, thick grip at an affordable price. It's definitely thicker than the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul. However, since it originally had P-90s and a wraparound bridge, it wasn't very versatile, so I converted it to humbuckers and dressed it up with gold hardware. Unless otherwise stated, the original parts are not included. The original semi-hard case is very light and sturdy, and very convenient. [Modifications] PU: Gibson Burst Bucker 2 * Chinese-made covers are attached, but can be easily removed. * The mounting holes for the dog-ear P-90s have been filled and repainted. Tuners: Grover 102 Bridge: Gotoh 510 UB Knobs: Replaced with those in the photos Capacitor: Blackcat 0.033 Truss Rod Cover: Marilyn Monroe-style pin-up girl String Butler-style string guide (will remove if not needed) [Included Accessories] ・Original semi-hard case ・Original aluminum wraparound bridge ・Original truss rod cover This is highly recommended for those who were interested in the Jared James Nicols model but were hesitant due to the P-90s and wraparound bridge, or for those looking for a Les Paul with a thick, Custom Shop-like neck at an affordable price. I myself used this guitar as a secondary instrument, with a Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Custom as my main guitar, but I'm selling it to raise funds because I switched to an SG as my main guitar and no longer need a secondary instrument.
