This is a small Bizen-yaki tea caddy from my mother's collection. I don't know the artist's name, but there is a potter's mark on the side of the body, and there is also a handwritten inscription and seal on the paulownia wood box (kyobako). I believe it's from around the Showa 30s-40s (1950s-1960s). It has a calm, reddish-brown color with kiln changes (yohen), giving it a dignified Bizen-yaki appearance. A well-preserved silk shifuku (protective pouch) is included. ■Size (approx.)
