The manufacturer was a superb maker of hunting knives and forestry sickles. It has been some time since they went out of business, and it is virtually impossible to obtain this item in this unused condition now. The steel appears to be oil-quenched blue paper steel, based on the impression of having been lightly touched to a whetstone. The handle is Shinogi PC Ho wood.
