This is an ink stick, rectangular with beveled edges, and the corners on one end are rounded inward in an arc. The surface of the ink stick is molded with a figure standing in a study. A brush and inkstone are visible on the desk, and scrolls are seen under the desk. Outside the octagonal window, banana leaves are visible. The figure's clothing is colored with gold, highlighting the subject. In the center of the opposite side, "隃麋名產" (Yasumi Meisan: a specialty of the Yasumi region) and "曹素功堯千氏製" (Sō Sokō Gyōsenshi Sei) are inscribed in gold. The side of the ink stick is inscribed with "嘉慶辛酉年 (六年, 1801) 製" (Made in the 6th year, 1801, of the Jiaqing era). 66.5g Unused, but with some chipping.
