These gloves represent the "sunflowers" that approximately 20,000 runners wear and hold up together at the start of the Kobe Marathon to express gratitude and friendship for the support received during the reconstruction from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. However, they tend to get in the way once the race starts, so I kept them stored away without wearing them. I have accumulated quite a few since I've participated in the Kobe Marathon multiple times. I'm happy to give them away if anyone is interested.
