This is one of the collections my deceased grandfather, who loved antiques, had gathered. If I remember correctly, he looked at the bottom and said, "This technique didn't exist in the Edo period," and said it was from the Meiji era. It's a vase or a jar with a very vivid indigo floral pattern. I think it would look beautiful even if used as a single-flower vase!
