Antique plate made in England. This exquisite piece was made by EJD Bodley, a now-defunct renowned English pottery. EJD Bodley products are held in the Victoria & Albert Museum and have also appeared in Christie's, the world-famous British auction house. This item was made between 1875 and 1892, making it 134 to 151 years old. Due to the short operating period of the kiln, "Bodley antiques" are highly rare and very popular as collector's items. The gold edging and plants are painted with a meticulous brushstroke that modern artisans cannot replicate, and they continue to shine without fading over time. This is a very noble item. There are no noticeable scratches or chips, and it is in good vintage condition. There is some dirt and brown spots from the manufacturing process on the back.
