The inner diameter of the bail hole is a small 3mm, so only clasps with a head of 3mm or less will fit. There are no markings, so the metal type is unknown. It is a piece with character, but there is some age-related wear and tear on the metal, which is not very noticeable. Please consider this a vintage item. Cleaning has been done.
