This attaches to the backrest! It has Velcro closures at the top and bottom so you can insert your own ice packs. In the summer, strollers can get hot, so I used to put ice packs in it to keep my baby cool (^-^) It's made of towel fabric, which is absorbent, and it's also washable (^○^) There's a slight snagging on the towel fabric, but it doesn't affect use.
